These Terms and Conditions govern your access to the Archer International Publications website, book catalogue purchases, author services, publication package requests, and manuscript submissions.
1. Acceptance and Scope of Terms
Welcome to Archer International Publications ("Archer", "we", "us", or "our"). These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "Author", "Customer", or "you") and Archer International Publications, governing your use of archerpublications.com and associated publishing and e-commerce services.
By accessing our catalogue, registering an account, placing an order, or submitting a manuscript, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms.
2. Distinction Between Service Categories
Archer International Publications operates distinct academic and commercial operations. It is essential that users distinguish between the following four categories of transactions:
- Category A — Purchasing Published Books: Standard commercial sale of physical printed monographs and volumes from our existing catalog, governed by our Shipping, Delivery, and Refund policies.
- Category B — Manuscript Review Submissions: Voluntary submission of an unpublished manuscript for editorial review. Submission is an evaluation request only; it does NOT constitute an acceptance, publication guarantee, or assignment of copyright.
- Category C — Professional Academic Services & Publication Packages: Bespoke author support packages (editorial review, typesetting, ISBN assignment, cover art, journal publication guidance). These services are governed by written service scopes and verified milestones.
- Category D — Archer Author Circle Membership: Academic community and recognition network. Membership induction is subject to eligibility criteria established with the editorial office.
No Automated Publication Guarantees
Uploading a manuscript or purchasing an academic support consultation does NOT guarantee peer acceptance, indexing in third-party citation databases (such as Scopus or Web of Science), or automatic book publication. Publication is contingent upon rigorous editorial assessment and the execution of a bilateral publishing agreement.
3. User Accounts & Registration Security
You may browse public catalog pages without an account. However, book checkout, manuscript submission tracking, and access to order records require an authenticated customer or author account.
You agree to provide true, accurate, current, and complete information during registration. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activities conducted through your account.
Archer reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide fraudulent information or engage in prohibited activities.
4. Book Catalogue, Pricing & Order Processing
All book prices displayed on our website are stated in Indian Rupees (INR) and include applicable taxes unless explicitly indicated otherwise.
Free standard shipping applies to physical book purchases delivered within India. International shipping is not provided through standard checkout; overseas orders require custom coordination.
Order Confirmation: An order placed through our checkout constitutes an offer to purchase. A binding contract is formed only when Archer issues a dispatch confirmation containing your tracking reference.
Pricing Errors: In the event of an obvious technical error or catalogue mispricing, Archer reserves the right to cancel the order prior to dispatch and refund the full amount paid.
5. Online Payments & Gateway Security
Online payments are processed securely via Razorpay. We accept authorized credit cards, debit cards, UPI, net banking, and verified digital wallets supported by Razorpay.
An order is never treated as paid until successful capture is verified through cryptographic gateway signatures. Replayed or forged payment callbacks are automatically rejected by our ledger verification RPCs.
6. Website Content & Intellectual Property
The Archer International Publications website, layout, design system, typography, vector assets, logos, and catalog descriptions are protected by copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws of India.
You may not scrape, reproduce, republish, distribute, or create derivative works from website content without express written authorization from Archer.
Published book titles, cover artworks, and abstracts belong to Archer or their respective licensed authors. Respecting academic copyright is a fundamental obligation of all users.
7. Prohibited Uses of the Platform
When using the Archer platform, you agree NOT to:
- Upload files containing viruses, Trojan horses, ransomware, or malicious code masquerading as manuscript documents.
- Submit plagiarized academic content, fraudulent data, or manuscripts for which you do not possess verified authorship or copyright permissions.
- Attempt unauthorized access to administrative portals, other users’ accounts, private manuscript storage, or database endpoints.
- Engage in automated scraping, brute-force form flooding, or actions that impose an unreasonable load on our infrastructure.
- Interfere with payment verification, tamper with webhook payloads, or attempt fraudulent chargebacks.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability
The Archer website, public catalog, and platform utilities are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Indian law, Archer International Publications and its editorial officers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the platform, including delivery delays caused by postal disruptions or temporary gateway maintenance.
Our aggregate financial liability arising out of any book purchase or service agreement shall not exceed the total amount actually paid by you to Archer for the specific order or service in dispute.
9. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms and Conditions and any disputes arising out of or related to your transactions with Archer International Publications shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India.
In the event of any controversy, claim, or dispute, the parties shall first attempt to resolve the matter through good-faith mutual negotiations. If unresolved within thirty (30) business days, the dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent civil courts situated in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.
10. Amendments & Contact Information
Archer reserves the right to update these Terms from time to time. Updates become effective upon posting the revised version with an updated effective date. Continued use of the platform after updates constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
