2. Author Declarations & Research Integrity

By submitting a monograph, textbook, chapter, or dissertation to Archer, the submitting author represents and warrants that:

  • Originality of Work: The manuscript represents original academic work created by the named author(s), without fraudulent data, fabrication, or copyright infringement.
  • Third-Party Permissions: The author holds verified permission for any copyrighted figures, tables, illustrations, or substantial text extracts reproduced from third-party publications.
  • Co-Author Consent: In the case of multi-authored works, the submitting author confirms that all named co-authors have reviewed the manuscript, agreed to the submission, and authorized the submitting author as the corresponding representative.
  • No Concurrent Conflicting Obligations: The manuscript has not been previously published elsewhere in identical book form and is not currently under formal binding publishing contract with another commercial publisher.
  • Research Ethics: The research described adheres to established institutional ethics standards, including human/animal subject review protocols where applicable.

3. Editorial Intake & Assessment Workflow

Every manuscript submitted via our secure portal (/submission) follows a systematic editorial assessment workflow:

1. Intake & Technical Verification: The manuscript file is validated for format (PDF, DOC, DOCX), size limit (up to 25 MB), cryptographic integrity (SHA-256 hash), and binary magic-byte authenticity.

2. Tracking Reference Generation: The submitting author receives a unique tracking reference code (e.g., AIP-SUB-YYYYMM-...) for transparent correspondence.

3. Plagiarism & Originality Screening: Manuscripts undergo similarity screening (e.g., Turnitin or equivalent academic similarity checks) to verify scholarly originality.

4. Editorial Board Review: Qualified editorial board members and subject matter specialists evaluate the scholarly rigor, structure, clarity, and curricular relevance of the work.

5. Editorial Determination: The author is notified in writing with one of three outcomes: (a) Acceptance Offer with a proposed publication framework; (b) Request for Revisions and resubmission; or (c) Polite Declination.

4. Manuscript Confidentiality & Private Cloud Storage

We treat all submitted manuscripts as strictly confidential academic research:

  • Non-Public Storage: Manuscripts are uploaded directly into private, authenticated Cloudinary storage repositories.
  • Zero Public Indexing: Manuscript directories are shielded from search engine crawlers (Google, Bing, Google Scholar) and cannot be browsed publicly.
  • Restricted Editorial Access: Access to the original document is restricted strictly to authorized Archer editorial staff and the authenticated author.
  • Reviewer Obligations: Any internal editorial reader or reviewer handling the manuscript is bound by professional confidentiality obligations not to share, quote, or appropriate unpublished findings.

5. The Formal Publishing Agreement

If a manuscript is accepted for publication, the formal terms of publication are memorialized in an independent, customized Publishing Agreement signed by the author and Archer International Publications.

The formal agreement explicitly defines:

  • Publication Rights: The exact scope of rights granted (e.g., exclusive right to print, publish, and distribute specified editions, or non-exclusive open access terms).
  • ISBN & Legal Deposit: Official ISBN registration under Raja Rammohun Roy National Agency (978-81 prefix) and statutory deposit in National Library Archives.
  • DOI & Digital Indexing: Allocation of persistent Digital Object Identifiers (Crossref DOIs) and academic metadata archival.
  • Author Royalties & Complimentary Copies: Verified royalty percentages (where applicable to the publication model), accounting schedules, and author copy allocations.
  • Formats: Specifications for paperback, hardcover, and digital e-book releases.
  • Termination & Rights Reversion: Clear contractual mechanisms under which rights revert to the author if a monograph is retired or goes out of print.

6. Manuscript Withdrawal Procedures

An author may withdraw their submitted manuscript at any time during the preliminary evaluation phase by sending a written withdrawal request referencing their Submission Reference Code to editorial@archerpublications.com.

Upon receipt of a withdrawal notice prior to the execution of a publishing contract, Archer will conclude review and mark the intake record closed.
